Part One of a Series - My Children

Today I have a desire to write about my children - but since they are incredibly different and wonderfully made - I can only manage one at a time.

Let's begin with my oldest, Deborah. She is such an amazing gift. Debbie has been a joy from the day she burst forth on to the scene - complete with her dimples, her cute little elf ears, and her little cone head (she was a long time coming...lol). Fortunately her head returned to its proper shape rather quickly. Deborah is truly delightful and I am so proud of the person she has become. She had a great imagination as a little girl and would on occasion put a pair of tights on her head for ears and tuck a scarf into the back of her skirt for a tail and prance around as whatever creature she wanted to be for the moment. She has a deep love for literature and has a wonderful library of the classics that she adds to on a regular basis.

She made a commitment to herself and before God not to date until she found the right young man. She was faithful to that commitment and married her first and only boyfriend two years ago at the tender age of 19. Erik is a true blessing, a good husband, and a talented musician.

Debbie is currently working on her Master's Degree in Library Science - a perfect job for her in my opinion. Hopefully she will secure a decent position as an Elementary School Librarian upon receiving her diploma.

That is my beautiful redhead number one (I have two redheads and a blondie) in a nutshell.

Oh...Miss Debbie (as Joe affectionately referred to her)...what a joy she was and still it. Remember Andrew named our new puppy "Debbie" after her? You are a blessed mother, Kim G!

Sweet post...my first one is was a red haired girl...we are best of friends now that the teen years are past. She actually thinks I have some wisdom and I think she does too. You spurred a desire to write about my wonderful children....thanks...
